Terms of Renting


We require a non-refundable deposit of 20% with your booking and full payment within 70 days of arrival. Once a booking is made and the deposit paid the villa will be booked for you. The villa is cleaned after every booking and a note made of any damage anything missing. If there is damage to the property or anything missing then we shall charge your credit card and issue an invoice.

Free Solar Power Pool and Spa Heat

As a service to our guests we have installed Solar Power Pool Heating. This type of heating uses heat from the sun to heat the pool, and is very efficient if used correctly. As heat from the sun is free, we do not feel it right to charge for it, and hence we offer this as a free service.

However we cannot guarantee the pool temperature when using Solar Power because this depends upon 2 factors outside of our control;

1. The local temperature
2. That our guests use the pool covers correctly (see below)

Because of these 2 factors are outside of our control we take no responsibility at all for the temperature of the pool when using Solar Power.

Standard Pool and Spa Heat

Standard (electrical) Pool Heat is available and is recommended for the cooler times of year, usually from October through to late April, if you want to guarantee the pool temperature. Standard Pool Heat can be supplied as an extra to your normal rental cost. Payment for Pool Heat is the same as for the terms of renting above.

Conserving your Pool and Spa Heat

If Standard (electrical) Pool Heat has been ordered it will be turned on prior to your arrival at Sunrise Villa. As we recognise the high cost of heating a pool via electricity alone, in terms of both electricity cost, and the impact upon the environment, we have installed Solar Pool Heating. As outlined above this efficient form of heating will heat the pool during the day using the heat from the sun and act as a back up to the Standard (electrical) pool heat. This arrangement has enabled us to minimise the cost of Standard Pool Heat and we will be able to maintain our low Standard Pool heating prices for the foreseeable future no matter what happens to normal electricity costs.

In order to make the most of environmentally friendly Pool Heat you are required to use the Pool Covers after you have used the pool. If you use the Pool Covers the heat loss overnight will be just 1-2 degrees. If you do not use the covers then the heat loss can be as much as 16 degrees. The pool would then need several hours of heating to return to a reasonable temperature.

So if you want a warm dip in the pool in the morning, or a midnight swim, use the Pool covers, conserve your heat and help save the environment.

Using the Free-to-use Guest Safe

We have supplied a Safe for our guests to use. The safe is bolted into to one of the cupboards and so would be difficult to remove. The Guest safe is above the Owners safe. To use the safe you will need to telephone our agent Villa Gorilla on the number provided in the house documents when you arrive. Then just use the safe.
If you forget the number or over-ride the combination then Villa Gorilla have a manual over-ride key. They will charge you $50 paid directly to Villa Gorilla to open the safe using the manual over-ride.
